Hi,
I'm preparing a bit of a camping kit and picking up a bore snake is on the list for if I manage to drop my rifle in the mud or something along those lines.
Not something I've used before so the question is... If I somehow managed to drop my rifle in some muddy water and really get some crap up the barrel, running a snake through it isn't going to make it crystal clean again.
At some point if you're running it through multiple times you must be spreading a little crap through the whole barrel while getting rid of the bulk at the muzzle.
If you just pass the snake through once though and there is still a coating of dirty water or whatever in there... is that clean enough to fire?
Would really like to not do something stupid on my first trip out
