Always store them in now. Sometimes safety is a PITA

Different rules in NSW so some of my Rifles have Bolts in them, some don't in the Gun Safe.. They are in Bolt Protectors BUT travelling they must be stored seperate.
Shopping list, or is that Range List when heading off to a shoot. Number One, Don't Forget The Bolts.

tfw you thought you wouldn't need more than 4

A person who possesses a weapon must, when the weapon is
not in the person’s physical possession, store it unloaded in a
locked container with the bolt removed or the action broken.

Exactly the same here! I can fit my rifles in the safe comfortably if the bolts are removed otherwise it's a game of Tetris.

I reckon this particular gem is a result of a GCA/NCGC suggestion during a brain searching (storming for otherwise intelligent people) session with your states 'finest';
Q-What further requirements should be place on firearm.... sorry, WEAPON owners?
A-um. ah, Hows about....removing the bolt??
Q-Why?
A-Sounds good, and it would annoy 'them'
Result-Removing bolt IT IS!!
seriously, If someone could tell me what on earth is achieved by by removing the bolt and placing at the foot of the rifle? Or breaking a shottie? Has the SSAA actually pursued this nonsense with a "Please explain"?? or would that be too political.....

Imagine how much money they're set to make if you must be a member of a club, must shoot regularly there and store your rifles and guns in their armory.
I'm not hearing "we oppose further restrictions on firearms owners " from the ssaa , that noise is coming from the SFFP ... their the ones with a set of balls."
I don't know where you got that rubbish from. What "further restrictions"? The last thing the SSAA wants is to be responsible for your firearms.
Hardly any ranges have an approved armory.
Those that do, have them for club rifles ( that are used to encourage new shooters) and the convenience of members who can't or do not want to store them at home.
As for your precious SFFP, they held the balance of power in NSW parliment and then f****ed it up with their IDIOTIC plans for shooting in National Parks. Oh, and the NSW Game Council, yeah, that worked well!!!!
"Balls" ? I give you Ball-sack....

If you put them in the ammo inner safe then you're not allowed to store ammunition in there.
