Just how stupid can they get ?

Every time I think they have got to the bottom of the barrel when it comes to STUPID,They surprise me and find a lower level altogether.

I was in Cunnings the other day looking for a mattoch/hammer combination to aid in setting dog traps and hammering in the stakes.
I'm in the "Garden" section of digging and chopping tools,,,, but there was no one tool that would be adequate for performing both.
It looked like I'd have to buy two separate tools to get the job done well.

Also,,,,,,,,, the tools that were on offer were all locked up behind the see through doors.

(Locked away to keep customers and staff safe from idiots like the ones that apparently went apesh!t in one of the stores down south.)

Now this is where things suddenly get real STUPID.

The nice lady working in the Garden Tools section suggested I go about 5 aisles up to the "Tool Store" aisle and have a look there.

So off I go,,,,,,,, and sure enough, there were all these digging, chopping, cutting, and hammering tools like I wanted.
But,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, None of them were locked up.

I can only surmise that people in the Garden section can be crazy and dangerous,,,,,, but not so if your in the Tool Section.
And what sort of whooopy weed does the store managers and policy makers smoke ?

People who go crazy in the garden section need to be met with equal force from the tool section.

i got a idea , how about the legal system impose real penalties on people who assault staff and play up instead of the s@ft cock approach they currently use . we're losing our freedoms in this country because the penalties for criminal behaviour are not a deterrent. being made responsible for criminal behaviour not being dealt with, is similar to workshop health and safety . instead of trying to "idiot proof" everything , people need to be personably responsible for their own actions , instead of having a bureaucracy that makes doing the job harder cause of fools that lack common sense and injure themselves JMHO
