Hi, I'm in Queensland, Brisbane area, and I want to sell some of my rifles. Does anyone know how I can find out what they are worth without getting ripped off. Thanks Dave :)

Post what you're looking to sell and I'm sure people will be able to give you a few going rates.
See you on the firing line.

Have a look at similar firearms on the Web (usedguns, ozgunsales etc) and ask your local shop for an opinion on their worth, between the two you should be able to come up with a value. You could also check a firearm pricing guide, guns digest release one and there's a website or two dedicated to this but they are based on US market and prices so may not translate directly to our market

usedguns.com.au usually has a pretty good spread of things.

If the rifle you're selling isn't too odd/rare you can usually compare to others which are for sale at the time.

you could take them to a dealer and they may buy them off you, don't expect much though. As mentioned above private sales websites are another alternative. What kind of guns did you have?

Yep, private sale is the ticket to get the most $$$.
