OHHH the frustration I feel at Belmont, Madden Range (Brisbane) when you're only allowed to shoot at the 300-500m silhouettes from certain benches and knob heads(uninformed or just general knob heads) are sitting at BENCHES firing away at 25-50 yard targets with there clapped out Lee enfield 303's and not even hitting the paper. (not that they are a bad gun, they have there place)
Also don't you dare try and set up a bench down in the COMPLETELY EMPTY standing area (which has access to shoot to the aforementioned silhouettes) otherwise you'll hear about it big time.
That's why 95% of my shooting, even target is done off ranges and out at property's at Gatton. Probably wont be renewing my membership there and just pay full fee every time I've got to do a quick sight in close to home before heading out.
While i'm here, are any of the other ranges at the Belmont complex any better??

Dude on the other side was carefully printing holes on paper with his hand loads, I thought that was fun too.

Brute, it's not just young bloke and not just at short ranges. I sat at a bench once at 300m shooting my 7-08 with an untested load. The load didn't impress me but was holding 4" at 300m in gusty side winds.
Two blokes nearby shooting semi custom tacticool .308's with $2k scopes and couldn't keep them on paper.
Some purple appreciate help and guidance. Others can figure it out for them selves, eventually
