I borrow rifles from my mates quite often. Wouldn't be a pain in the arse if I wasn't able to
buy ammo for it.

Totally agree. My comments were that surely the government would see it as a "loophole" to easily get ammo for unlicensed firearms.

With borrowing a gun is the limit 28 days in NSW?Looking at borrowing my brothers 243 for a bit.

I hate that my adress is on my firearms license, it isn't required, all that needs to be on a license is your photo and a license number. Everything else is bulls**t. If the cops need your adress the registry can provide it to them other than that no one else need to know where you live.

No address on my 3 here in QLD. Just #, name, photo, birthdate and conditions.

Maybe that is a model Vic should follow.

I have often thought if some crook steals your wallet and finds a general category handgun license, why not break into your house too

Driver Lic has address on it so still gives them what they need to know.
I generally carry my H card separate in a club id holder with the range access card. If I am just fetching ammo I use my a/b card. That keeps them knowing there is handguns if wallet goes missing.

I went through that a while back. Thought I'd lost my wallet with gun license in it at a super market. Luckily I had left it on the dash of the car. Not a nice thought while it was missing.

Just another pointless bit of red tape implemented by someone with no idea about shooting.

They've got to be seen to be doing something though to justify their fat tax-payer funded salaries. So knock out a few pointless laws.

I bought 2000 primers about four weeks ago and I'll be getting some more AR2206H and AR2208 this week, I'll try to remember to update this afterwards.

They were quite busy so I forgot to ask, but there was no obvious recording of my details when I bought powder and rimfire ammo today.
As I said though, it'd be dead easy for him to add my details from his records later on if he's required to.
