Keyrings for non shooters?

I have bought some shell/projectile keyrings for my family in NSW, is it legal in NSW for unlicensed people to have these things?

There is no primer or powder in them just an empty shell with a projectile seated in it.

Going from fuzzy memory but I'm pretty sure you don't need to show a license to buy projectiles or brass which is all it is. As you say no powder or primer.

I think it's only WA that is the problem state for this kind of stuff.

Maybe call a store in NSW and ask?

You don't need to show a license when buying brass and bullets, so nothing would be required for a keyring made from the two.

To be captain obvious for a moment, just make sure you mail it to them and don't fly with it.

Not that it's any danger, but you know how touchy the air port security can be. Wouldn't surprise if they took it off you

Or be sure to stick it in your checked bags at least.

I called a NSW gun shop before getting back here and they confirmed what you guys have said - no license required for bullets or brass.

Hello,

You are not required any license for buying projectile keyrings. Although if you want to buy bullets then in this case license is required.
