Where to buy reloading supplies

Hi all,

New member here, I've been shooting for years and have just gotten together all the equipment to reload for my 300wsm.

My question is, where is everyone in vic buying their projectiles, powder and primers? I'm looking for a good value supplier that has Nosler BTs or Hornany SSTs.

Any help is much appreciated and I am happy to buy online as it's still taking me a while to clean my tarnished and filthy 10yo brass haha.

Projectile Warehouse have been excellent for me.

Powder and primers can't be shipped so just get them through your local.

It's a shame I can't just buy it all in one hit and have it delivered. Oh well, all the more reason to support bricks and mortar.

It is actually possible to ship powder, primers and ammunition by road, but you need to buy a lot of it to make the fees involved worthwhile.

Usedguns when it's what I want, usually good price.

Rest at LGS when I want to test something.

Primers and powders - call around and find cheapest deal. I found in Melbourne there's like $15 difference between the same 500 grams of ADI 2208 powder, so finding a good deal is kinda important to keep the price down.

Abela's Gunshop at Thornbury has stuff in stock pretty regularly I find, or can get it without too much delay.

I've rounded up everything for the 300wsm. Just need to find a supplier of cast bullets for the 357mag now.

I've heard you can get HRBC projectiles direct from factory in Vic.

Anyone have advice about the coating I should get? I will be using trail boss, so low velocity/pressure loads.

Moly has been the standard coating for donkeys years.

Reduces friction heat and cleaning intervals. You will lose some velocity with the pressure loss from reduced friction though.

Boron coating is a new arrival for this. I don't really know much about it to be honest, it's supposed to be a bit safer for you, chemical wise.

Moly can combine with moisture to start a corrosive effect too which Boron won't.

With all that though, personally I find it way to much work without seeing a practical benefit for myself.

Personally I'd say if you're just starting reloading you could do with one less thing to muck about with. IMHO.

Advice buy in bulk at good price price goes up hardly goes down. As I have learnt I buy 1000 primers at time and bulk powder and projectiles always got themthen

Yeah, even if you don't shoot heaps it's good value to buy/do a bulk reload.

You've got them sitting there whenever you need and prices only go up.

Missed it, should have included request I am looking for cartridge boxes supplied by Myra Mfg. Cal. and any printed info. on box be ok, looks like this.

I think I'll buy a box of 1000 to get started. Here's to hoping my Rossi will feed the projectiles I end up choosing lol.
