6.5 creedmoor or SHS straight pull

Hey guys I'm tossing up what to get next I'll prob
Get both eventually I'm looking at the howa varmint 6.5 creedmoor just for bit of target plinking or SHS straight pull 12g scrub gun/plinking

I had a play with one of those shotties at the gunshop they seem i bit awkward to me in the cycling the adler seemed quicker and more natural to cycle 6.5cm is interesting though uber accurate with f k all recoil from all accounts

Only reason I'm leaning towards straight pull is the I haven't heard about any jamming issues

Had a shot with the a akkar 3 barrel 20inch shotty handles well and not too heavy that extra tube is real handy going out for 1200 bucks at some places well worth the extra for a good scrub gun

Yea but can't use it on ducks as it's more the 2 barrels

Wouldn't touch an adler with a ten foot pole after using one a few weeks back, absolute dog of a shotty, a straight pull certainly sounds good to me

I know a guy who had a Adler got rid of it for a straight pull

I'd go the straight pull now and then save for or laybuy a ruger precision in 6.5 after that

Thinking the same but won't be the precision not a big fan

6.5 seems a bit expensive for plinking, I'd go for the 12g and save up for something else down the road.

The precision is a car to bench/ final firing point rifle, but a nice rifle at that

I reload so not really much different to any other centrefire

I actually got the LGS to give me a touch and feel of the Ruger Precision the other week F me that front barrel guard adds a s**t load of weight. They are trying to get it stop jumping and act like a real precision gun by doing a lot of stuff but not where it counts. It looked the goods to me, but I am out. It would be a bitch to carry around heavy bulky and sharped edged in all the wrong places. It was really front heavy and not balanced at all.
If I did buy one the barrel guard would be the first thing to come off, not really needed the scope rail is on the action. It may be ok balance wise after that. It could do with a better barrel to I think.

I'd take a savage lrp over the the ruger

With all due respect they are very different guns and you need to sit down, be honest with yourself and work out what shooting you want to do.

One has range of 0-1000m, the other is 0-100m (being very generous)

One will do 5 shots into 25mm at 100m
the other woukd be lucky to get 5 pellets on an A3 sheet at 100m

Pulled the pin and order the stp12 from the shot shot was on sale for $695 couldn't say no
