Not absolutely why one did not fit the carefully, lovingly ground screwdriver. By the time the last screw was tightened, it was jiggered (I wonder what the correct engineering expression is?). That is, it did not jigger until the final tightening. I do them sequentially, by the way, like a motor car head.
Could be that all the slots were not a uniform size and the last one was too big for the tip. Tried to repair the damage with a small hammer and a punch with a flat tip. The job looked ok but it still jiggered. Maybe the steel was soft in just that one screw. It's a mystery mate
