Best Scope Mounts for Model 70

Hi all
Im pretty sure I've chosen my new deer rifle as a model 70 either the extreme weather or the featherweight, I think i've chosen my new scope as either a Swarovski Z3 4-12x50 BT L or Swarovski Z5 3.5-18x44 BT L and am wondering what are the best scope bases and mounts for the model 70?

I have talley mounts on my M70 .22-250 they seem ok not the quality or my EGW stuff on my howa though

Just put a set of Leupold rings and bases on a Mod. 70 action. Solid steel and windage adjustable, whats not to like?

Only thing I did not like about my Weaver mounts was the slot-head screws. Went to a lot of trouble to grind a screwdriver but still ended up jiggering one of the slots

Not absolutely why one did not fit the carefully, lovingly ground screwdriver. By the time the last screw was tightened, it was jiggered (I wonder what the correct engineering expression is?). That is, it did not jigger until the final tightening. I do them sequentially, by the way, like a motor car head.
Could be that all the slots were not a uniform size and the last one was too big for the tip. Tried to repair the damage with a small hammer and a punch with a flat tip. The job looked ok but it still jiggered. Maybe the steel was soft in just that one screw. It's a mystery mate

Weaver steel bases and burris signature zee 30mm rings on my M70, i like the inserts in the burris rings, suprised more dont come with them

I went with the Burris 2 piece steel bases with the new Leupold LRW rings as the rings have the classic look of the Leupold turn-ins but the strength of the PRW's

DNZ Mounts/Rings are tough and well made but they’re ugly as sin..
