Installing a safe - first timer

I'm having problems keeping the safe still when pushing against it (I'm pretty useless when it comes to using tools - officeworker).

So far I've put 6x 10mm dynabolts into it, four in the floor and one in the back and one on the side and it's still moving around. I don't want to keep drilling holes everywhere. the floor is concrete and I have three rows of brick work exposed to the back and LHS, otherwise it's gyprock and timber studs. the safe is the Spika S3CH.

Does anyone know if there is a place I can get to come and install it for me? I'm in Sydney.

What! You have 6 dyna bolts & it's still moving. Either your drill bit is to wide for the bolts or you have a thin concrete floor. What size safe is it?

+1 check your drill size, then check your bolt size. can you move the bolts or just the safe ,,im thinking that you may not of drilled the holes deep enough so that the bolts can pull tight

safe is 140kg so needs to be bolted down for my intended use of ABH.

I used a 10mm masonry bit and the anchors are 10mm - all bought new from Bunnings. the holes are tight, I had to use a hammer to drive the bolts in. I've ratcheted them down tight. I measured the bolts against the bit before I drilled and marked the depth with electrical tape to make sure I made them deep enough.

I'm not sure what else I need to do except for drilling more holes.

I'd post pics but not sure what angles/shots will help you diagnose my problem.

Where exactly is it loose? You may need to just put a few washers with the nuts.

Dyna bolts can be quite a pain in the ass to use , quite often the spacer will stop the bolt from tightening up properly .
There are things called a screw bolt , you drill the hole and just put them in like a normal bolt they are much easier to use
Also dont be to fussy about the depth of the hole just make sure it is to long for the bolt . It sounds like the cement dust
has packed in the bottom of your hole and they are not deep enough

guys I went back to Bunnings and spoke to their expert. he suggested I use the threaded Ramset masonry anchors (10 x 100) instead of dynabolts. you are correct reddog, dynabolts are a pain in the arse!

I bought 4 of the ramset anchors and now the safe is rock solid. they are a bit of work to ratchet down tight but that safe is not going anywhere.

That's the ones and when you want to move your safe you just take em out and use them again.

Yep they can be a bit of effort to put in a breaker bar helps , and they chew out cheap 12pt really quickly 6pt impact sockets are the go , Glad you got it in alright .

And your right now the fun begins, and it wont be long before your putting in another safe

Three gun safes are allright , they come in handy for storing half of your ammo

mines a 12 gun safe with separate ammo and H storage, should keep me going for a year or two
