Rifle bags

A huge box arrived today - twenty scoped-rifle bags!
So I'm enjoying emptying the safes and bagging everything...and tagging them

I use socks but I felt I needed some better padding so I can really stack them in the safe without worrying about any damage.

What do other people use to maximise safe space?

I thought that too, but there comes a time when you can no longer get inside your house because of the number of safes

Funny you guys have raised this,,,,,, I'm looking at the possibility of building my own vault.
Not because I have a huge number of arms,,,, but killing 2 or 3 birds with one stone seems appealing.
1) Safe refuge in case of bushfire.
2) Safe storage for other valuables, especially sentimental stuff that insurance cannot replace.
3) Controlled climate and wine storage.
4) And last but not least,,, not having to worry about one rifle rubbing up against the other.

We are buying a new house soon. The only stipulation I gave the missus, must have a decent shed or room to build one. I am going to wall off about 5-6 feet at one end and build a gun room. I'm thinking I will also make a concealed entrance through a bookcase/shelving unit. Because I have always wanted a secret room ( and really , who doesn't?).

Thats a small gun room mate, make it bigger if you can, I'm looking at doing around a 6m x 3 or 4m - see what happens.

Too many Enid Blyton books as a kid made me very prone to secret passages and hidden rooms as well.
