Favorite Sights for your Shotgun

I have a straight pull shotgun that has a small brass coloured bump on the end of the barrel and it works fine But I wanted more so put on a cheap red dot style like this one https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Tactical-El ... cnXMrT4QBw
Problem was it would not aim low enough as I cant get the rail low enough, so was thinking what other styles other people like and was thinking on a lazer red dot or something.

I have a couple of those holo sights.
But I have FireSights on my Stoeger.

When I shot at the Shotgun club that shares our range on a combined day I asked one of the Pros there "how do you use the sights as in how do you frame the sights to the target" I was told you dont aim a shotgun you point it. It did have a little red dot front sight and a rib and I had to work it out from that.

Red dot and a rib is a weird combo

When I say red dot I mean a small front post about the size of a match head maybe smaller and it was red.

Ohhhh you mean a bead, yeah shotguns are all about "fit" the idea being the stock fits your frame jsut right so your eye is lined up down the rib without you habing to move your neck around, different brands suit different people, brownings swing like a fence post to me, where for me berettas just feel right, bit like goldy locks haha mine got fitted at beretta australia

Bit more on the expensive side but have a look at “Redring”. It’s an American concept but works bloody brilliantly...

The front just clips onto the rib, but comes with double sided tape, lol.
The rear has a plate that fits through / under the rib and then the sight screws / clamps onto that. Rear is adjustable for elevation and windage.

Ahh I dont have a rib but good style to look for.
I'll post up a pic of what I have, I have to clean it anyway

I agree, for snap shooting at birds or clays I'd rather just have the front bead. But for slugs I much prefer rifle sights. For both I keep the sights as I can make them work for snap shooting, but I lose too much using the bead for slugs.
