Hi....now I'm showing my age....lol
A long long time ago this was my first centre fire....so what can I tell you ...
Accurate, built like a brick out house, one long action suited all, from 222 rem up to 30 06. From memory they were never chambered in "magnum" calibres. Stocks were good, better bedded, the old way. Magazine springs and followers in the smaller calibres were sometimes a problem, actually more fiddley cause of the length of the action and big magazine well.
Barrels ...good
Action...strong.
Extractor/ejector from memory is a plunger type, never played up but don't bust one...can't get em' these days for love or money, and the "smiths " that could make/modify from the old days are long gone....that's why mine is a single shot sentimental now.
Stocks were always of the Monte Carlo type with a two pack finish, tough as is an understatement.
Best mount because of the action length was the one piece hillver mount...definitely recommend that.
They were never worth big money, but by rule they shot well
I've had mine now for over 45 years, it eats anything and god only knows how many rounds have been through it before the ejector gave up the ghost, but we are talking well into 5k worth if not more.... still shots an inch at 100.
By the way they weigh a ton,,,,lol
Indestructible is the best way to put it
Hope that helps
