Sooo, a few weeks ago I purchased a cheap Game Trail Camera. Here it is.

So thought I'd let you know what I think of it. Not the greatest BUT will do the job if your tight with money like me. Here is a typical pic after I left it in the bush for about 2 weeks. As you can see colour and picture quality leaves a fair bit to be desired. But to be fair you can see the animals fairly clearly so it will identify whats around but forget high quality images.Notice one is having a sniff.

The biggest issue I see with the camera is there are no options to change settings including time and date. So that's important how do you do that.
Put a micro SD card in it and switch it on for a minute a text file is created.
Now switch it off and remove the micro SD card. (i used a 16 gig)
Put it in a PC or in my case a android tablet.
Edit the text file to indicate the correct date & time. (dont change the format) Mine initially indicated 2015
When you edit it ensure you change it to the time you intent turning the camera back on. (so you need to anticipate this)
Insert the micro SD card.
When you turn the camera on the clock will start at the time in the text file.
Bit of a root around but seems to work. But you need to do this every time you set it up.
So thats the $52 Game trail camera. Oops comes with a strap to strap it to a tree.
The greatest invention in the history of man is beer.
