A hundred rounds later!
I put up an A3 sheet at 50m and went prone in the grass - very hot out there!
I didn't adjust the scope at all. All shots were aimed at the bottom corner of the pieces of tape.
The blue groups were aimed at the middle targets (blue crosses), off the bipod - about 150mm high.
The green groups were aimed at the bottom targets (green crosses), bipod folded rearward, forend rested in the MTM rest - about 45mm high.
The orange groups were aimed at the middle targets (blue crosses), bipod removed, clamp retained, rested - pretty much right on elevation. The left-most orange group is mostly my own effort, I was getting hot.
The red groups were aimed at the middle targets, with the bipod and the clamp removed, rested - about 210mm low.
I should've confirmed zero before installing the bipod but I hadn't even zeroed the scope at that point. The difference between the rested bare rifle though, and shooting off the bipod is extreme, far more than I would've imagined. 360mm difference in elevation at just 50m!
So, the bipod would probably work fine if you only ever shoot using the bipod. The differences in point of impact between the bipod, folded or removed (but the clamp retained for bipod use) are very significant. It also shows accuracy is equally effected. I think there is potentially a slight loss of accuracy even shooting off the bipod, though it's near enough to perhaps be unrelated.
I should add that mounting a scope on this is not great due to the low comb - I have absolutely no contact between my face and the stock despite the scope being so low as to be almost touching the rear sight - not conducive to accurate shooting.
