What's your favourite powder to reload.

Just interested to know what powder shooters are using for rifle or pistol .
I use 2206H for .223 and .308. And win 296 in my .357 handguns. It produces a nice muzzle flame!

BM8208, AR2208, AR2206H for .223 & .308 depending on which projectiles I am loading,
and AR2209 for the 6.5 CM.

AR2208 for both 223 & 30-06.
I'd rekon AR2206H would also be a very good option. Specially since you can down load a bit further.

I use AR2208 in .243, 7mm-08, .30-30, .308, .303 Brit.

I use Benchmark 2 in the .223.

I use AR2206 when I load my neighbours .222 (because I've still got ~4kgs of it),

And the roo-farmer mate who re-built the .45-90 told me he loaded the 300gn pills up with AR2206H, though I havent loaded any up myself, yet.

I use Win 231 in the .45ACP.

Cant remember what we used in the .44-40 last time I loaded it up; I have a feeling it was something like AP50, but dont quote me on that...

Apparently, my mate did one 140gn load for the 7mm-08 in AR2209, but I havent done anything about replicating this load; the all-rounder load I use is AR2208 driving a 120Gn VMax.

I've got BM8208 and Trailboss there, but havent done anything about load testing them yet.
Trailboss is to play around with some quiet loads at some stage...

The BM2 meters better in the RCBS Chargemaster dispensers than the AR2208, but AR2208 is hard to beat for a great all-rounder rifle powder.

AR2206H and Trailboss are my most used powders by a long stretch - I buy AR2206H in 4kg bottles.
For more specific purposes I also keep AP70N, AR2205, AR2207, AR2208, AR2209, AR2213SC, AR2217, AR2225, BM8208, and FFFg Black.
I'm not shooting handguns.

My favourite is probably. Benchmark 8208. It seems to give the best results in my 223 and my 204 ruger is pretty much on a strict 8208 diet. I happened to look down the barrel of the 204 and it was extremely clean looking. The benchmark must burn clean and it metres extremely well.

Cooper, do you have flames half a metre long out the front of your 204. Lots of people have mentioned it to me but you don't see it when you are looking through the scope. Put the 357 to shame.

Never noticed any out of my 204 or anyone elses for that matter, but have noticed it out of the 22/250 at night.

I know when I first got it I was using fact Sellior and Bellot factory ammo to sight it in and there was flame coming out the end of the barrel. It was just on dusk. I Think it was only a few inches though. It only has a 20 inch barrel (Howa mini action varmint barrel). I’m pretty sure it doesn’t do it with my 8208 load. Will have to check.

2208 in everything as I had a 4kg tub.22.2gn in .222x50gn for about 2800fps 36gn in .243x80gn for about 3200fps. 56gn in 7mmx100gn pills for about 3300fps and2213sc for all other loads in 7mm Rem Mag
