Not really well basically!!
Tested 2.5 inch #4’s and 3 inch #7.5s
Both did a great job on the birds at 20m with the #7.5’s the better choice but neither would be any good at 50m
Set up some cardboard and tested at 30, 40 and 50.
I’d use the #4’s to 25m but the #7.5’s in the 3 inch shell did well up to 40m
Only about half the #4’s made it through the cardboard at 50m. The #7.5’s still had plenty of sting but a started to get a bit too gappy
Rifle was a Lithgow (slazenger) converted smle. No choke
I did have photos of the cardboard and various feathered friends but lost them somehow.
