Has anyone used the above rife on a hunting rifle as I'm getting a 300wsm and thinking it would be a good scope for hunting and target shooting

I've got it on my T3 varmint in 308 and I love it!

Nothing bad to say about it, it's brilliant.

I don't personally feel like i would have an issue with it in the field, but its yet to go out.

Guess it depends on what you want to achieve and what your priorities are.

There's more informed hunters online that could advise their POV's on it as a hunting scope, but in terms of the quality of the scope itself, it's brilliant.

Still gotta do this camping in Wombat though hey... Obviously you're welcome to a few shots and a carry when we get out there.

Where you located again mate?

Gotta get to the LGS at some point for a few things. Can possible meet at the store and you can have a look/feel?

The weight is noticeable. It's twice the weight of your 'typical' hunting scope like a 3-9x40 Leupold or whatever.

I don't find it a problem though. My fluted T3 is reasonably light as these things go, as a unit the weight is good.

Personally the eye-level of it is perfect for me. In the past I've found some smaller objective lenses a little too low for my eye-line and cheek weld position if they're mounted close to the barrel.
