Not sure if this is the right section to post this

Basically what are some of the closest assault rifle looking guns/kits we can legally buy that you know of?

The Mossberg MVP Patrol looks a bit like an AR and it even uses AR-15 magazines but I'm sure that you can get guns that look more like an AR
Ruger M77 Mkii VT .204
Jw-15e .22
Winchester Model 37a 12ga
Beretta Silver pigeon pump action 12ga
Howa 1500 .223
Howa 1500 .30-06

By definition, we arent allowed a "military looking" firearm. So Um going with the rem 7615 as well. In WA they can even knock back a firearm that will take military magazines, like the Mossberg MVP :(

EDIT : Sorry a military magazine for a rifle chambered in 223, But apparently you could use a rem 7615 if it was chambered in 300 blackout ( same mag, different caliber )

Saw this on the usedguns website

Image

"Excellent condition with adjustable stock, Warhammer rail, 1.25-5x26 illuminated recticle scope on PEPR style AR mount, 1 x 10 round magazine, 1 x 30 round magazine. Plus postage. Check your state regulations on magazine capacity."

They have the 30round mag in the photo but I think it would look a bit stupid with a 10 round magazine

I think the Ruger 10/22 looks a little like an assault rifle with a chassis upgrade. Quite a few sold on usedguns. Depends on your state reg's though.

Barrett rifles, the 50 cal is a military rifle.
The M98B looks good, only in 338 Lapua here.
The Mrad looks good, i would get one in 300 win mag then outlay for their 308 conversion with new barrel, bolt magazines.
The folding stock should be allowed because the bolt cannot be used when folded, the trigger access is restricted when folded.

Assault rifle is a bad term can we not use it and stick to autoloader instead, autoloader sounds less harmful than assault rifle so play the political game in choosing words otherwise you might cause fear in the ignorant.

Accuracy International make good rifles that are used by snipers in the military.
