Detectives uncover major gun stash in Sydney

THE discovery of a major gun stash in Sydney's south-west could help solve a string of violent crimes, police believe.

A machine gun, handguns, sawn-off shotguns, a bullet-proof vest and ammunition were allegedly uncovered during police raids at Hollywood Boulevard late Tuesday.

No-one was home when the property was searched by detectives from the Middle Eastern Organised Crime Squad.

The guns will undergo ballistics testing to see if they are linked to a surge of armed robberies and drive-by shootings in the area.

"allegedly"... Well were they found or not?

If they're doing ballistics testing on them they're obviously not imaginary :lol:
