A big thanks for the advice

Post by TwelveCheeseSticks » 04 Apr 2020, 11:09 pm

Several weeks ago (Months? time flies fast these days) I posted on here asking for advice for a book i was writing, as to exactly what my protagonist should be armed with. I have listened to advice given in the threat and i've ultimately decided to arm my character with a Remington 7600 in .308, with a Leupold scope. Realism is what i'm aiming for so critiques of the firearm and calibre brand would be good. Thanks again

After buying my 7600, I came across a shooting website where a number of people canned the rifle. Mine is very good; feeds, fires, extracts and ejects perfectly. Even the trigger, which is said to be atrocious, is crisp and not too heavy. A tradesman who came to our house told me that his was so bad that he gave it away.
I believe that it it a lottery; you pays your money and you takes your chance. The same goes for scopes. All of mine have had to be returned for repair and most are Leupold.
Good luck with your book mate
