Great news ! Hopefully all shooters can have their freedom back soon . Still no word on a QLD PTA for me after 4 weeks.

Also a line to note in the release is "A licensed dealer may dispose of firearms to individuals who hold Permits to Acquire issued prior to 28 March 2020."

I'm reading this as anyone who has a current permit, as it's listed outside of the scope of the OC and RE conditions.

Yes but I just don't understand why this and future representations are not joint efforts. To my way of thinking presentations by all shooting, hunting and fishing groups would have far more clout.

I wouldn’t call it a win, this effects a small minority of shooters, the vast majority are still unable to access what there current firearms licences should allow them. A better result would have been to tell them to shove their token offer and demand a full repeal. This is typical Divide and conquer tactics and this how they will undo and ultimately band shooting sports.
