Best quality snap caps

Post by RunRabbit » 18 May 2020, 11:05 am

I'm wanting to get some 12g and .308 snap caps but wasn't too sure which brands to look for. There are a heap out there and some of them look pretty s**ty and I'm assuming would cycle like crap.

Any recommendations?

Over the years I've used the A-Zoom ones in 30-06, .308, and 30/30 and have found them to be excellent.
And for 12g these ones are very good,,, but other than the imprint of " SC and 12 " which I presume only denotes what it is.
They don't have a brand.
All are readily available via Evilbay.

I can also recommend the Pachmayr A- Zoom. Have used in 38 spl and 12 gauge.

If you reload, just knock some rounds up without a primer or powder and rill through the sides and you have a pretty good dummy cartridge.

My local dealer has the A-Zoom caps so I'll grab those. Thanks!

this is good but you can make a plug from rubber with a hole punch for the primer
