Should've guessed that :-)
I started with FS4 but got quickly bored with them, although I did keep buying them up to FSX.
I prefer combat sins, IL2 primarily.

If you like combat sims, check out DCS.

I think the game is still free but you buy the aircraft....the detail is next level

DCS is great but if you end up getting something like the F14 tomcat you will need to learn what every button does as all of the buttons in the cockpit are pressable... turning off the thrust limiter has some interesting effects. It also pays off to have a HOTAS system, But other than those two obstacles its a great flight sim with a variety of normal modes and custom modes.

P.S DCS can be a money sink!
I just wanted something here...

Very true. I have the F-18, So much online stuff to learn.

I have the X-56 HOTAS, I also use this for FSX and will also on FS2020.

Yep, DCS as well, but the learning curve is long if you want to fly different aircraft on full-real, best to pick one aircraft and master it in that one.
I still prefer 1946 over the BoS engine, I find BoS lacks immersion, I never feel any connection to my wingmen in BoS. But I play it more now that they're moving out of the Eastern Front.

Agreed, DCS is a great technical sim, but lacks any sense of immersion or excitement for me.

The first reviews coming in on FS2020 seems like it's a mess, might be worth waiting a few years before paying for it.

I bought kids ps4 VR - they recently downloaded the plank...fark me. It’s not a game, just a basic emersion experience - a really high building / falling experience. I was hung over yes - but I’ll confess, I threw up...
Good VR is a different level. It’s like taking a drug and then trying to explain it - you can’t. It has to be felt.

god i hate VR, tried using it to sim race, and whilst it was better for apex's than three screens, it gives me migraines
