I have come across some terms that I'm not sure what is meant. Please help me out if you are able to.Cheers

A pistol that has "no visible scene"

A rifle with a "bolt in the white"

"bolt in the white" is not coloured (blued)

I'm assuming this means something akin to "no cult following", as opposed to pistols like the Colt 1911, Desert Eagle, Beretta 92, Broomstick Mauser etc.

G'day TimTimney,
"no visible scene" may also refer to the cylinder of an early Colt revolver, many of which had a scene engraved on them such as a Naval battle on the 1851 etc, and the currently described one may have a replacement cylinder that does not have a scene on it. Where did you come across this comment? Was it a sales/auction catalogue? Cheers.

Yes the saying was on Aust Arms Auctions and I think it was described about an 1851 colt revolver.
