I bought something from a Qld gunshop online and their emails tell me the SMLEs No1 Mk111, are available for over $2000.
HOLY COW!!!

Which shop, I might want to grab some before they're snapped up :-)

Anything special about them?

Nothing special 'blade, mostly FTR's, a couple of grenade rifles in copper wire wrap one with Star of David marks at $1290, and a 1926 Lithgow which is collectible. A Cadet for $990! Given the appx $2500 price on some perhaps they hand deliver them on silver plates with choirs of angels singing? Cheers

Personally, I'd rebell at paying such inflated prices .....
The pen may be mightier than the sword, but personally I prefer the .30/30 Winchester.

Never mind, I got the same email :-)
They do seem well over-priced. Maybe they're on consignment from a collector that thinks they're made of gold?

Is it just me or have old collectables gotten incredibly expensive in 2020? I keep seeing buggered old Winchesters sell for prices that just don't make sense.

Mate as i said in the other thread. Its for everything. Be it pets, used cars, old guns.

People are sitting at home depressed, women buy shoes and clothes. What do men buy? And antiques... they don't make more of them for some strange reason
