The Australian out back ammo isn't too bad. They have 70gr, 87gr and 100gr already loaded. And its quite accurate.

6mm Remington (nee 244) is based on a 257 Roberts/8x57 case

Lol - you are right. A 16” 243 would be pretty violent. Sounds like an interesting project
