Slazenger Lithgow Model 12 Bolt Insertion problem

I have a slazenger model 12 made by Lithgow and cannot reinsert the bolt. I am pulling the trigger but still the bolt wont insert. Anything I'm missing?

Is the bolt cocked?

Another question, if I may? Can you adjust an iron sight on a rifle like the model 12? It is currently shooting to the left.

Yep, drift the sights in their dovetails.
