Wonder how many hours are lost here?
I would go so far as to say no where near as much time lost, compared to the lost hours that companies incurred when they banned smoking on site.
I used to see workers going in and out of the work place throughout the day for cigarretes.
It was a large complex that took at least 5 mins to walk from the back to the front gate.
So; 5 mins to get there, plus 5 or 10 mins smoking, plus 5 mins to get back.
Each smoker would have at least six cigarretes per 8 hr shift
So for each smoker that equates to 2 hrs per shift lost.
There were just on 180 workers on site that were smokers.
At a production meeting I suggested to management that instead of insisting that smokers go OFF site,,
Praps have 3-4 designated smoking areas spread across the site to save on lost time.
Despite the figures, they refused the suggestion outright.
Beats the hell outa me how some managers think.

I do not fear death itself... Only its inopportune timing!
