Can anyone tell me if there are there deer hunting opportunities in the Pyrenees State Forest?

If so how common are sightings?

The map says you can legally hunt the purple areas.
I’m tipping you’ll have to do your own recon though.....

Most of the area is about to become National Park. Will happen very soon as it was announced about 4 months ago. There will still be a few opportunities but we are loosing most of it.

I think the only way you'll know for sure (unless you know someone that regularly hunts in there) is to get out and spend a few days walking about, taking notes and photos. It'll vary throughout the year also, when it's hot you'll be lucky to see anything, when it's wet and cold it's more likely.
