When I was in Switzerland there were shooting ranges EVERYWHERE. Anywhere we'd travel you'd hear bang, bang, bang and look over and see a shooting range, often it was reservists in uniform practicing. I'd love to take my K-31 to Switzerland and shoot in one of the big matches there, one I saw they have 600 people on the line!

The other thing I was surprised about was how close in and around these ranges were with houses, roads, etc.

I really need to go back to Switzerland, I massively enjoyed it.

That explains the ding in the roof of my rental van the last time I was in Europe touring with my Hard rock band

It’s fine there’s a wall in front of the highway. It’s impossible to shoot at the road even if someone tried.
They have a great firearms culture there because it incorporates discipline and safety in ownership.
The pen is mightier than the sword. If the pen is used to order more swords.

A civilised and mature society, trained in the use of arms, and which will defend the country's neutrality.
A saying that was ascribed to a Japanese military officer regarding the Americans, but equally appropriate here: "Behind every blade of grass, there is a marksman".
