I don't mind it. For the price its a good knock around gun that you can actually hunt with.

Certainly doesn't require too much effort to push the button on the stock.

I couldn't get my thumb on the release without changing my grip. However, using trigger finger to work the lever is lightening fast.

cheers for the intel. i got my hands on it and had bit of a fondle. not impressed with the build quality, especially considering the price. but its definitely the swiftest non restricted shotgun on the market. someone with a bit of training could empty that mag in no time.

Still not as extra deadly as a pump action though thankfully

I don’t understand the mechanics..... does it automatically eject a shell upon firing, and stay open, and then left hand on the Froend hits a button, which allows the action to close because of a spring , and then it’s ready to fire again ?

The bolt would chamber the next round but something catches it. So you release the catch mechanism

Nope. I spose I could buy one. Take it down to the range, take it out hunting then post a review on it for free.

Let us know how you go mate if you do. Certainly seems like a good option for pigs if the build quality is decent and she runs well.

my impression of them was not amazing in the build quality department. bolt didn't glide terribly smoothly but it wasn't rough either. the rail in the front is moulded plastic built into the for end. my biggest gripe was the inside of the receiver and chamber looked absolutely crap. tooling marks all over. looked very much like this:

The receiver is just a drilled out block of aluminium, like all of them.
It wont be gas system. Inertia is less parts, cheaper manufacturing.
I’m just unimpressed by the asking price. Perhaps because of its novelty. Nothing else on the market has its patent pending forend lock.
I dont know who does the mod or how it works, but if it somehow engages the return spring I’m not overly confident about munting the cycling from that end. But thats just cautious speculation. I haven’t used one. I’d like to see one factory tested with a few thousand rounds through it.
I will say with confidence the mod will be impossible to reverse without destroying the guns ability to function. Customs will have given it to their gunsmiths for at least 3 months, likely longer. Tasked with finding a way to reverse it. If it can be done it wont be sold here.

I’m not passing any judgement with very limited knowledge of it. It could be a winner. As McHugh says, theres a real practical hunting gun here.
If you were shotgunning pigs on the move and you can put two into the target, you will. No-one likes to see a poorly dispatched animal in a mob.
Not on par with self loading but as humane as we’re allowed.
I’ll stick with my stoeger i think. Easy to get parts for with worldwide popularity. Great smooth action never fails to eject. Almost a third the price new.
Likewise I’d have the dickenson first for half the price. Or the Adler with the lever that’s catches the bolt. Both easy to get parts and repairs. Local warranties.

There’s two versions avail here so far. If they’re a winner i look forward to timber or cerakote.

is that any excuse for poor workmanship? tooling marks is tooling marks.
we're talking about a $2000 gun here. not a cheap $700 adler.

I think we’re talking about a 700 dollar gun max.
The workmanship, you can take that up with the robot. Maybe they should sack it.

I suppose you could try and complain to the goat herder who pushes the green and red button, but it might result in an honour killing or something.

But assuming you survive that because the local authorities intervened in time.
You might just get of with genital mutilation and a warning.

Hi All,

I’ve just picked up one of these myself in the 20” barrel.

I get that everyone will see it differently but I got it purely as a hunting shotgun, for what I want to do with it this one suits pretty well.

Haven’t had a chance to give it a go but will be over the next few days, happy to give a better run down after that.
