From what I've read they work fine. No issues to speak of.

What do you call "reasonable".

Personally I don't need them. I still have about 1600 purchased when they were very cheap. Stocked up a fair bit at the time, so I'm lucky. Plenty of components and powder too. So, none of the shortages have effected me.

But I thought since a few here need them that you would help them out, but alas you haven't changed one bit.

Just a couple of calls I guess.

My prediction is they will be $100 /1000 in a year. Could be wrong tho.

I have not seen them for sale yet here.

I've started doing some primer testing on my channel so if I see them I'll grab some and test them out.

Don't play nice in race guns, much harder than Federals.
Guessing roughly CCI hardness.

My local (who are ALWAYS expensive) are $240 a thou.

I'll be interested when you do. I've got a supply of CCI to use up before I swap over.

The OFV primers are like that too - seen a few blokes swearing on the mound now

Well it's funny you guys have them in stock down there but up here none of the major online reloading vendors have them nor do I see them anywhere locally.

That surprises me, wanneroo, considering where they are made https://whiteriverenergetics.com/

Yes, me too. I did a search last night of all the regular large vendors that might have them and no, none do.

But look guys, I know primers have been a tight situation in Australia for a while now so enjoy them if they got em. :drinks:

It's getting stupid, cheaper to buy factory ammo at these prices.

I was wanting 1000 pieces of .38 Special brass a couple weeks ago so I looked online and it was about 80c apiece. My dealer sells Sellier & Bellot .38 Special ammo for 80c a round, so I bought 500rds of factory instead (all he had in stock). For eighty-cents I get the case, the primer, the powder, and the 158gn bullet. At current prices it would cost me about 65c to load the same round. Using powders and primers I bought years ago and casting bullets from my recovered .22LR bullets it costs me about 13c a round, about the same as .22LR.

I'm currently in the emergency department waiting for a heart ❤️ bypass.

Don't actually need them ATM. Just thought if the prices have come down id buy a few to hedge my bets.

But not at those prices.

By the way Western Firearms (best gun shop in Sydney) sells brand new Winchester Large Rifle Primers at $ 180 / 1000.

That's cheaper than Cleavers (195$)

yes must have been a decent shipment come in at some point, 50 boxes for sale at the local. Still a ridiculous price, over 200% inflation.

Great to hear, some people trying to sell them online for $0.40 are going to be holding them for a while
