I did a short stint today,, voluntarily handing out voting slips.
Just my way of saying thanks to the sitting member involved.
Because,,,,, several years ago without being asked, he stepped up to the plate in my defense concerning a complaint that had been made about me
shooting on my property.
The complainant had little understanding of anything shooting related,,,, other than the fact that the shots could be heard from a considerable distance.
(I was simply checking the zero on a couple of rifles shortly before heading out to a clients property for a night hunting dogs) as I make a habit of doing.
This politician replied to the complainant explaining that legally I had every right to shoot on my property at any time I desired or needed, and thus solved the issue.
So,,,,,, today I was volunteering and in the course of doing so, had various short conversations with the other people handing out the other parties slips.
Add that to the multitude of other brief conversations with the general public coming in to vote,, proved to be both interesting and eye opening for myself.
At the end,,,, I couldn't help but wonder at one very significant similarity overall.
Regardless of which political party/candidate that any of them were intending to cast votes for,,,,,,,,,,, (I could hear comments and statements from most) it
was very obvious that these people had absolute blind faith that their voting choice was the bees knees,,,, and would solve all their problems.
A fair assumption for people to have I suppose,,,,,,,,,, but it made me smile.
