Mate, I stand corrected but I call BS on this in its relationship to basic LFAO's. I've no idea who Politics Reloaded are other than being Melbourne based but would perhaps ask them to do some fact checking.

For instance, this so called LFAO's chart has columns with each relating to the various firearm categories and each also having an occupied and non occupied column with all relating to the 3 columns headed as being; up to 5, 6-15, 16 plus.

Whereas surely someone had a brain and would have realised that under the proposed new Act LFAO's will only be allowed to have a maximum of up to 5 firearms if you are only a hunter, or up to 10 if you only do club shooting or a combination of both but with a maximum of 5 for hunting, eg 5h/5c, 3h/7c, 1h/9c etc.

General LFAO's CANNOT have more than TEN so this documents requirements showing, eg 6-16, more than 16 etc would be total BS in relation to basic LFAO's.

IMHO the fact that apparently WAPOL have been visiting dealers makes me think that this charts requirements will be in relation to dealer safe requirements and not what they sell etc. There are also many small dealers in suburbs who may have very basic safes and perhaps zero alarms etc etc. Thus those firearm numbers would more likely equate to dealers.

But either way the numbers quoted do not relate to what LFAO's will be permitted to have so Politics Reloaded need to fact check their info and further advise as what they have published is bordering on being untrue and totally ridiculous.

WAPOL indicate there are approx 90.000 LFAO's in WA, There are no stats on collectors licences but I would suggest they are a very minimal number of the overall 90,000.

It would thus seem very odd to make the first listing 0-6 and 6-16 when 0-5 and 0-10 would be more meaningful and be in direct relationship to the proposed act numbers for LFAO's.

It also wouldn't make sense to perhaps be penalising other LFAO's with stricter conditions that maybe applicable to collectors etc. I guess time will tell.

Ring your ol mate Neal and ask him how and where did he got this info and question its validity for general LFAO's.

Actually collector licenses are different than hunting licenses and you need to be a member of a collector's association.

Joining a collector club is the samething as joining any other sporting or hunting gun club. Pay the fee and fill in the membership form.

I have no idea why they would pick these numbers. However knowing how stupid the police like to make things I would believe these numbers.

You sparked my interest mate and with some online looking I found that; Queensland 1987 and Tasmania 1989 was the last time any state governor did not do what the state premier wanted. Whilst not that long ago I am sure we all remember that was a better time in our respective states and commonwealth.

The role now is essentially a rubber stamp to do what the premier wants when the governors actual role is to represent the monarch and to act as a safe guard against abuse of power AKA tyranny.

A maximum of 5 firearms you get a grandfather clause, unless you have Cat E, H, and D. Those require new safekeeping.

As I have more than 5 then the requirement for stronger safe, strongroom, CCTV and alarm apply.

Well it seems the charts safe requirements and numbers etc are now gospel although there has been some changes. The new regulations have now been published online along with this info.
