I've noticed that the firearms for sale online are at a very premium price. I can understand them wanting their money back but no-one is going to buy firearms off anyone in WA at absolute premium. So unless the law gets thowen out they will have to take a hit and them being worthless like you say will be correct.

Rally needed to be done ages ago but everyone thought it would just go away. But here we are. I'm in Victoria and they won't take out guns ..they will just shut all the public land hunting and cull all the deer in the national parks by helicopter. Which takes away my genuine reason to own a firearm. Only hope we have is 1 nation winning some seats and can help abit. Both majors will have all guns banned by citizens in 5 years max is we don't.

One of the guys at the club was quoted $300 to ship a single pistol from WA. That's why a dealer here is having boxes of twenty handguns sent over every month.

The old people here can see how it started with a simple lifetime licence from the police station without a photo even on it(in QLD at least). Then self loading longarms and registration and a licence having to be renewed and a genuine reason given. Then pistol restrictions and magazine restrictions. Yeah mate we can all see it. I remember you saying on here about how appeasement never works. I am not against the concept of background checks and a licence based system in theory but seeing how it works in practise I just can't support the idea.

No I live very rural in the upper Murry. We only have 2 cops here lol. And an occasional task force from Albury way

Here, more bad news. Coincidently they mention constitutional lawyers. I was wondering about that a few weeks ago. I reckon they need to have a chat with a couple. There is absolutely been no evidence presented that I'm aware of regarding public safety. Hence the ALP is not doing as it pledges to do in parliament. That is unhold that laws and constitution. It's simply harassing us.

I have sent a few long arms out of WA recently. Cost varies between $250 - $300 each depending on the dealer you use. Its not just the freight & insurance, the cost also covers the dealers paperwork to be filled out and submitted to Licencing so that the individual firearms are taken off your licence.

For firearms coming into WA, postage is to your nominated dealer. You then have additional costs for the dealers storage and issue of serviceability certificate (a prerequisite for licencing application). For handguns being stored the new regs also require secure lockable container with a tracking device which is an additional cost come April 1.

Add on the cost of a new safe for a lot of people and its starting to get too expensive for some which would be the intent of a lot of this anyway.
