Wano PP

Might have to buy some Wano. Anyone used PP for a Long Range Target rifle such as the Gibbs?

What's PP? I only have a few kg of Wano but I just bought a pair of blackpowder revolvers, plus one for a mate so I want to grab more black very soon.

Pistol Powder, it is sieved to better tolerances than the F grades and so has less fines and more uniform grain sizes. PP is appx the same as FFF Swiss which is also sieved better than Wano F series or Goex etc. 4FA Pyrotechnic is similar to 3Fg but less refined sieving so more fines, used mostly in fireworks so harder to find someone willing to sell it. As for rifle use, I would treat it the same as FFFg Swiss.

PP is not a pistol powder.
Here are the Wano grades from Combat Simulation Systems here in Qld that we can buy it from.
P grain size is 0.85 to 1.18mm
PP 0.63 to 1.00
PPP 0.35 to 0.8

Here are the Swiss grain sizes from LHS in Germany.
No 4 is 1.5 FG 0.85 to 1.2 mm
No 3 is FF 0.65 to 1.2 mm
No 2 is FFF 0.5 to 0.8 mm

Swiss 1 1/2 F (1.5 FG) is a common grade for 45 cal BP rifles so the Wano P grade has a more even grain size than than that.

Looks like I will just have to buy some and try it in the Gibbs.
