Ironic justice was served

Post by Die Judicii » 16 Apr 2025, 10:38 pm

While travelling yesterday I came across a serious accident that had just occurreed a few hundred meters ahead of me.
As a result, I had to do a U turn and go back to where I could find another route.

As I did so my thoughts were for those (innocents) involved,,, especially seeing as Easter had not yet even started.

Later in the day as I was homeward bound the road was still closed completely,,, so I assumed things were pretty bad.

It was reported that a deceased male from the accident was driving a STOLEN vehicle and collided with the
other unsuspecting vehicle.

The truly shocking thing for me was that while detouring from the accident site,,, I was passed by three other separate vehicles on a blind hill,, and two of
those narrowly escaped having head on collisions themselves. :wtf:

My advice for Easter is,,,,,,,, wrap yourselves in Bubble Wrap and stay home.
I do not fear death itself... Only its inopportune timing!
And,,,,It's been proven,,,,, the most trustworthy females in my entire life were all canines.

I'm just hoping that the germ involved didn't kill the innocent driver.
I drove to our other joint yesterday to check some stuff out and to make sure I had supplies for the Easter hunkering down, and the highway was choked with the inevitable caterpillar of slow, overloaded vans and trailers full of side x sides and the kitchen sinks.
Town was chokkas with the holiday makers. The shops were like Covid times, crowded with people stocking up. It's good for the local businesses.
We just have to write off the timetables and just not get wound up on the roads.
I have to remind myself that most of these drivers are experts at sitting in city traffic, but not in towing swaying overloaded trailers on the highways.

Even if the germ didn't, imagine the lives ruined by those involved. Unforgivable and unfortunately nothing is really done to discourage people ruining others lives with their selfishness.

Personally I think it should be,
The worse the injury, the greater the penalty.

Weeelll, something along those lines.
Re all years ago, driver,
Pissed
Speeding
Went through a stop sign.

Killed a bloke on a motor bike.

Just a fine. FMD.

In those sorts of cases IMO minimum jail sentence of 15 years required plus a good whipping.

Happened to me in 2003. Apprentice chippy, still pissed from the night before, did a handbrake uturn over double lines in front of me. I laid it down and slid into him at 60kmh. Shattered vertebrae into shards, popped both knees and broke both tibias at the ankles. Then ran over my head and busted my brand new Max Biaggi helmet. 6 months in a spinal ward, then had to learn to walk hanging in a frame lowered into a swimming pool. Was supposed to be in a wheelchair forever, well no f'ken way that was happening, I was going to pay that c**t a visit. I did too, a year and a half later. I remember the smell as he spray painted his jocks.

Despicable useless Mt Gravatt cops charged him with low range drink driving at the time, nothing else. Judge didn't even take his licence away because he was an apprentice and it would've seen him sacked according to his employer.

If I had my way, they'd be hanging from light posts at the spot they f**ked up someone else's futures.
Changed me forever. Never give up.

Nothing ironic about it justice has been served provided nobody else was even injured

Feel for ya mate. Certainly changes you doesn't it. People that whinge and sook about stupid things they can actually control just can't be tolerated anymore by people who've been through that. Or worse.

Almost seems like the system now rewards those who give up, or definitely those who hurt others and blame something other than their own weaknesses for it.
