Fox whistle

Never really whistled many foxes, and my whistling game is quite poor.
What’s the best whistle I should be looking at to get into it a bit more?

There are heaps but my three main ones are:

Tenterfield style. Best but most difficult to use.
Button style good, easy to use
Read, fox blaster, fair easy to use.

They are strange critters.

Must be hungry
Wind is critical
Within ear shot
Not in the mood for love.

Note: seems if hole is closer to the bend/edge it works better.

Also,

wet styrene rubbed on glass if it's quiet and not much wind.
(Mouse) very easy.

I've whistled heaps of em in.
Sometimes less is more. Lip squeaks can succeed where a Tenterfield fails miserably

Lip squeaks are my go to attention getter if I forget my whistle of I have no time to retrieve it. On foot , in the dark when I see a fox while pig hunting 36 grams of AAA.. knocks em backwards a bit if they are trotting in.

Yep, another is wet styrene on glass.

Glass might suck a bit carrying it around with a bit of styrofoam. Surely that takes the cake.

The button whistle, used initially quietly, often works seemingly for 100's of metres downwind. Which unfortunately doesn't work well with foxes downwind!

I generally don't have the urge to try everything out there. Too much on. Someone showed me a button whistle once, we had foxes running up to the ute and in the house yard, one bolted in so fast it collided with my leg. You don't need any skill to use one, so it's great for me.
The local farm supplies had a card full of them for $1.20 each so there's one hanging all in the utes and buggies on some red string.

I have a small glass pill bottle. I store the styrene inside when not in use.
