Turkish shotguns are great

There I’ve said it.

We don’t need to hang crap on Turkish shotguns anymore. They’re nice guns.
Look yes some of their early efforts, not so great.

Take another look. Handle one. They are making some nice shotguns nowadays. Real nice.
I’m old enough to remember some of the crap we imported from Italy and Brazil. I’ve owned some of that crap. Had an external hammer one that would let both barrels go if you sneezed. People didn’t like going hunting with me. Especially if I had a cold.

We got nothing to complain about nowadays. Spoilt for choice.

Credit where it’s due.

These turkeys make good guns.

I mean, people still don’t like going hunting with me, but that’s probably just my personality. I have nothing nice to say about anyone really.
At least I have a fine shotgun for emotional support.

Got an Akkar Churchill with a short barrel. Terrific scrub shotty. Has not let me down.

I have an akkar 3 tripple barrel. 20inch barrel perfect in the scrub being nice and short and 3 shots is always better than 2.

I have the first firing barrel with a slug, then the second and third with buckshot. Right, top, left is the firing order off the top of my head. Been a little while since I used it.

I had a CY Semi ATA shottie and it was nice.
But not as nice as my Miroku.

As a teenager I had 3 Boito's (when they first arrived in Aus)
The first one was a .410 and the barrel interior shat itself.
They replaced it and I had that for many years with no problems ever encountered.
I also got one in 12g that also served me for a long time without any problems.
Although made in Brazil,, they were rugged, crude, but reliable.

I think by memory they were $35.00 each, brand new

The one big thing I hated about the 12g one,, was the total lack of any recoil absorbing butt plate/pad.
