Yeh shot a few foxes with (IIRC) Hornady SP. #2265. Worked great.

Currently using the #1365, 55gr Superoos. (I'm told they are actually game kings)
They work great on foxes too, and I get better groups.

Shot nothing else with them.

Never done an autopsy tho.

Super roo ( Game kings) definitely shoot better and I haven't had kill problems yet.
The Hndy are known as a good explosive varmint pill but didn't provide the accuracy that I like.

FWIW some blokes out here prefer the Super Roos (Game Kings) for their night time work on Skips because they are less erratic than the plastic tipped offerings.
With absolutely no margin for error for the 223 in anything resembling a night gun, where wounding and follow-up chores are a real concern from the inconsistency of the job ans what can present itself, the really fragile projectiles are best suited to varmint stuff.

Seeing as you don't say what you are shooting at, if it's in fact animals, I thought I'd add that perspective from people who use them for protecting their businesses.

The 55grn Hornady I am referring to is the old soft point not plastic tip v max

Just a farm rifle for use on roos foxes dogs etc, I have access to both but loading for someone else so I cant do the testing

I find the Hornady drops them quicker with chest shots. I think the super roo go straight through a bit more. The Hornady are fine in my Sauer but the Tikka doesn’t like them.
