My 1-8x LVPO has absolutely no parallax whatsoever at any range, and at 1x is has no magnification whatsoever, so when on that power with the circle red ring/centre dot turned on, it's the same as a red dot.
In fact, the black ring that floats around the view that's so noticeable on a red-dot-only optic is hardly a thing with the scope.
That's why it's so flexible, turn it up to 6 or 8x and you've got long range precision shooting as well.
I just assumed most others would be the same. I suppose it's also something that I never would have thought about till I got it.
When buying one, it now will become a thing I will check.
Parralax at 1x isn't acceptable, I don't reckon. But as 1x is close range only, I guess it doesn't matter that much until you get caught out taking a 150m shot without time to turn up the power.
But it shouldn't be there.
