Yes. Have had a 223 for a couple years. Very accurate. Only drawback is no after market trigger. Nothing wrong with the Sauer trigger though. It’s just that I like a set trigger for the shooting I do. Other than that, very happy with the rifle.
Yes I had the Sauer 100 in .270W. Very very nice. Sold it many years ago but really loved the accuracy. I only shot out max to 200m at Little River, great fun.

That is exactly what I did. Had the little 600 since 1967. These days I do a lot of control work where I am shooting five or six hundred shots per trip. It was time the retire the Remington. I have recently bought a Tikka 223 also - just for the set trigger.
Also - for what it’s worth - if the 600 hadn’t started to lose accuracy I would still be using it. For me the comparison to the 223 is not huge in end results. I shot enough fallow and pigs with the 222 to know it will do the job with the right placement. The big difference is in ammo prices. I reload for about 60c a shot. Makes it worthwhile when going through a lot of ammo.
It still shoots great hasn't done much work at all, fact is the Sauer was a dreaming thing wont be getting anymore rifles so ive advertised it. Have the load that shoots great if anyone interested a bit old school 20.5 grn 2007 & 50 grn Hornady Would love to see the rifle land with a young shooter, It wears a Leaupold 2-7x36 Leaupold mounts
Ive just noted a few very low round count rifles for sale, one bloke didn't like stock configuration the other wants a more dedicated range rifle I get that also
A bit tempted on the stainless 223 but hate those stocks
Gonna handle one on Monday see if I can live with it
