A cunning trick (using the sling screw) to hold the butt in place.
I never thought of that.
Trouble is neither of the stocks have any provision for adding a spacer or two which is pretty p!ss poor in my view.
Both of mine are actually hollow crap.
If they were solid it'd be easy to make a spacer and do the modification.
I've got one in 300 Blk and one in 22 rf
They both have identical lop.
The 300 Blk is fine and feels great up to the shoulder,,,,,,,, but,, the 22 rf does not.
Thrown up to the shoulder, it feels like it's 50mm too short.
Certainly not a good point on Rugers behalf.
Instead of being able to simply add a spacer,, it looks like the only cure would be buying a complete new stock.
Just as well I rarely use the 22 rf
