It’s not his character. He’s lazy and undisciplined. Relies on others to get by. Not the self sufficient type.
I don’t think he’s in the wilderness in this weather. Wouldn’t cope.
10 days out there without fire for warmth eating leaves and grubs. Jail cell would be preferable.
We have very nice prison accommodations here. You get McDonald’s and a PlayStation. Tennis courts, gym. Living the dream.
Although he is in Victoria so probably will get bail.
I think he’s either self unalived or probably staying with someone else. But theres also a lot of holiday accommodation around there. Homes, cabins, caravans. And it’s all vacant now.
Funerals for the two policemen are being held today. The wounded policeman is out of hospital and back at home
I like your fugitive Wannaroot. He thought like a squirrel. Became the squirrel. But alas, they found his acorns.

The reward of “up to $1m” is the largest ever offered in Victoria for an arrest, said Det Insp Dean Thomas from the homicide squad.

Now, after saying he'll be mopped up real fast, now they are asking him to present with a surrender plan...
The bloke's guilty of a terrible and unnecessary crime, and he will probably be caught or killed sometime or other, because that's pretty obvious and what the intention is. But for all the vilification and initial huffing and puffing about how a bloke like him, a second-class citizen and no match for the superior government representatives seeking to kill him, he continues to show them up.

You can see the image right? You know a lot of people who go missing have tens/hundreds of people searching for them only to be found dead > 2km from where they went missing? Finding people in dense vegetation is hard. Finding alive people who want to actively escape in dense vegetation is harder.
You sound like you admire the guy and given all your anti Victoria and anti gov rhetoric this makes a bit of sense. We sure you should even have a license?

ColdStart wrote:Interesting how the story is developing, first the police said there were 3 police officers trying to talk to Dezi so not to scare or escalate the matter, but the daily mail release photos of at least 7 police members surrounding the bus trying to force enter to arrest him for the "historic sex offences" which turn out to be because he skinny dipped while on a group hike in front of a 16 year old girl serval years ago.
So how did he get away? The Daily mail gave the insight that he may have kayak down the river and the next day the police are search downstream of the river.
Rather telling.
With the reward now the same amount in todays money they issued for Ned Kelly, are they trying to make him a hero for the nutters?

Ned Kelly, however, did not dress appropriately for water sports. Checkmate ColdStart.

LOL @thedailymail Tabloid journalism at its finest

They're only releasing what they want you to see, and gave you plenty of still pictures with a narration of the events they want you to beleive happened, not necesarrily how it happened.
Otherwise every media company would have all the footage

womble wrote:3 police shot, 2 killed.
They made a mistake. Error of judgment maybe. Error of communication. Dose’nt seem he was presumed armed and dangerous.
Wont be getting the full details ever. That would mean resignations.
You watch American videos on police arresting suspects. Someone so much as tries to scratch their nose and you get a dozen officers emptying clips.
Can’t blame them either.
But yeah. If you have a disagreement with police now and you’re a firearms owner. I’d be very careful and follow instructions precisely.
They always have a round chambered by protocol. Because who dares wins.
So if that weapon is drawn, don’t argue.
Not a very happy police force atm.

Round always chambered by common sense, a firearm without a round in the chamber is a club, not a firearm.
