Bushmeister thing and shoutout for good folks

I posted a while back about fabricating a mag tube extension for the BA-X12 but for the life of me cannot find that post..
Long story short, the BM must have a certain amount of mag spring pressure to allow the bolt to release when the lever is operated, insufficient spring will see the bolt travel fwd maybe 3mm then stop.
The folks at Nioa went above and beyond, their Gunsmiths are excellent blokes and genuinely interested in helping [even bonehead] customers.
Just today received a longer spring from Digger Tactical who are also consistently good.
Potentially nasty situation resolved by Elks of Albury.
I took the gun to them and as std "booking in" procedure they checked the serial number against the rego cert which they had asked I bring with the gun, turns out the dealer [50 miles South of here] that I bought the gun from royally f#c#ed up the registration process, serial number was incorrect and it was apparently a lever action rifle. You can see how a safe storage inspection could [probably would] have gone,
I have $20K + of firearms, ammo, reloading gear, optics etc, I also had an unregistered shotgun and could not have accounted for a shotgun that does not exist, I reckon all my gear would have, at best, gone on an extended holiday.
Michelle of Elks was excellent, of course the gun was going nowhere, a dealer cannot hand back an unregistered firearm and to me it was bloody Kryptonite, over the next week Michelle did sterling work with The Registry and the result is:
I now have two BM shotguns registered in my name, both on the same registration number and I have copies of all correspondence between Elks and The Registry to explain the nonexistence of the ghost gun.
Just realised I will have to write a covering letter re this $hitshow and leave it in the safe with the real shotgun and other paperwork, I am 70 and can imagine people trying to sort things out when I am not around to explain...

Lucky you didn’t have to deal with Victoria's registry.
It can be a real struggle for them to register a firearm. Very forgetful lot.

The bushwhatever was originally classed as a lever action.
It’s now classed as a bolt action.

Lever action shotgun has a mag limit of 5 on cat a or b.
Bolt action doesn’t have a mag limit. You win. Be happy.
Think happy thoughts. Think of the ocean. Imagine the waves rolling in and gently crashing and foaming.

Oh here it is. Pretty colours. A nice touch by the work experience kid https://www.police.nsw.gov.au/__data/assets/pdf_file/0015/133134/GR_TABLE.pdf
