I bought a .22 liner the other day from a mob here that imports them. Plan is to make a slip in conversion liner up for my .40 BP target rifle. We used to be able to import them but no more. Those that use them find them very accurate. I wont be shooting Creedmoor lying down though. Too old and stiff for that so its fork sticks :( . No one else here at the Club does it but may get them interested.

Seems it will be a while before, if ever, the 22Cr takes off

probably accurate, but sounds like a barrel burner . whilst playing around with 250 savage it was pretty obvious the creedmore is just about a duplicate of a ackley'd savage case. i reckon the 6mm CM has merit . better case design than a 243

I think it will knock off the 22 250 as it doesn't have the ridiculous body taper especially if it comes out with a 1:8 twist it will be a great varmint round with a 60g pill at about 3800fps and if you want to knock off s**t at 600+ it has very serious credentials with vld type projectiles in excess of 3,200 feet per second very versatile

Well, so far, doesn't look like many have their hands on one.if they're available when I'm ready, then it will be a case of either getting my 6.5Cr re barrelled with a 1:8 or getting one off the shelf.. I think we can name both 22-250 and 22Cr as barrel burners.

Horses for coarses. They’re both “niche” caliber to me. Great long range Varminter no doubt. Cheers

It's remarkable that anyone has any success with the legacy cartridges whatsoever, with all these "gamechangers" to keep the money changing hands. And peoples' hopes up for miracles to shortcut what established shooters called skill. Wrong?

I'm continually surprised at all these new cartridges, each apparently promising to give the user the edge of anything before them.
Nothing new under the sun, yet there is, seemingly every week there is a new miracle.

So I'm saying, the way some people, and especially the desperate-for-something-new to sell to the masses manufacturers market these new miracles, blokes like me who can't see an issue with what they're using for 30 years has actually worked for them.
Must've jagged it this whole time.
Or maybe it's a target shooter thing?

Just my opinion, it is a forum after all.

I think that what he's saying is "Name ANY attribute that this new-beaut 22 calibre cartridge can achieve that any other established 22 cartridge can't".
It seems that some people can't help themselves and continue to want to line the pockets of the manufacturer/s of said "new" stuff. OK, whatever floats your boat.

well madang, the last two posts summed things up in a practical way , but hey give the 22cm a go . i've played with numerous oddball/wildcat cartridges over the years and found it interesting and satisfying. if you go through with this , let us know how you go . cheers
