“Introducing a complete ban on firearms that can use belt-fed magazines.”

Please explain?????

They are so retarded they want to ban things that do not exist? How about we ban phased plasma rifles in the 40 watt range.

Beat me to it, I was about to post the media release earlier.

As predicted they want to limit individuals to owning 4 firearms (as if this would have made any difference to what happened) and want lever release & pump action firearms transferred to Cat-C or Cat-D.

The biggest thing is this clanger (ignoring the mis-spelling of "robust"):
Removing the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal (NCAT) review pathway, ensuring we can use sensitive police intelligence without concern that a decision will be overturned by a tribunal, while retaining a rebust internal review process to ensure fairness and accountability.

So now he wants to say "no" to a firearms license with no recourse to have the decision reviewed other than a non-transparent "internal review" process.

I've never been a huge political advocate, but there are two petitions to NSW parliament (one to each house) each with around 22,000 signatures, if you're a NSW resident & haven't signed them already I suggest you do:

https://www.parliament.nsw.gov.au/la/Pages/ePetition-details.aspx?q=vIXRT1jpe3su04gChoZaZQ
https://www.parliament.nsw.gov.au/lc/pages/epetition-details.aspx?q=tl4HuHzz1G_qiXm-4Vm6xw

Shooters, Farmers & Fishers party also have a pre-built form to email your local state and federal representative that is applicable to all states here:
https://www.shootersfishersandfarmers.org.au/fix_your_faults.

I think that's about all we can do at the moment...

2 hours later, they are both over 25,000. This is crazy fast!

It's interesting, I've been talking to my gun-neutral friends and anti-gun family and, while most don't really care if guns are further restricted, pretty much all of them think the laws are already fine and this is just over the top.

It might help to tell people that these laws would cost many hundreds of millions of dollars to implement, while our economy already isn't doing well.

These are worth signing guys. I dont post here much anymore but have been pretty active on Aushunt the last week. There has been a massive response against the proposed laws. MP's across the country going online saying they have had thousands of emails and calls in support of gunownership. Id suggest keep emailing, easy to google a list of your MP's or other M.PS and voice your opinion.

If you havent already consider joining
https://shootersunion.org.au/
https://www.shootersfishersandfarmers.org.au/
These guys are working around the clock at the moment and need all the support they can get. Graham Park the President of the shooters union believes they can push most of the reforms back.

Last info and apologize if posted elsewhere, but the QLD premier is still not comitting to the reforms and Minns has announced he wants a Royal Commission into the event and ASIO. Not sure which way that will go.

Looks like Lever Action rifles could be gone with magazine restrictions.

Pump action rifles to Cat C Remington 7600/7615 gone

NSW unlimited magazine capacity applies to non detachable magazines in NSW.
Detachable Cat A 15 Cat B 10

Belt fed magazine eh?

I think you are mixing lever release versus lever action. Totally different. That would mean no NSW shooters would be able to compete in Single Action competitions which totally relies on lever action rifles.

10 round maximum magazine limit for A+B, never had a lever action how many does their non detachable magazine hold?
Lever action will be outlawed on magazine capacity.

They tried this 10 round limit in WA then backflipped when those with Lever actions were outlawed.
WA had unlimited capacity tried to restrict it to 10.

NSW only has unlimited for non detachable rimfire and centrefire magazines otherwise 15 for rimfire and 10 for centrefire with detachable magazines.

Never owned a lever action no desire yet support those who do.

Hey Team,

I sent an email to everybody. Below is the list of all the NSW Members of the Parliament that can be reached via emails. Pasting it here as it is very easy to send one email to all of them at once. If we all do that, the number of emails will be massive. (Just paste the list below in a BCC distribution list when you send the email. I used a generic introduction that is valid for all of them: Dearm Member of the Parliament Office. Template to use is above and everywhere.)

Please give it a go,
Thanks,

Members of NSW Parliament

OK Gotcha. Relates to mag limit meaning they would be gone. Same scenario as happened in WA. They also banned magazine limiters so it meant many tube magazine lever actions would instantly became banned as some could hold more than 10. The popular Winchester 9422 became the benchmark that would have been banned. WA has never had an unlimited capacity as it was max of 10 from year dot.

I just hope, mate, that everyone can see who is screwing this country. By that I mean political idealology.

Prior to this happening, people were trying to warn everyone.

The only ones of us exempt from this crime are those of us who live in a state or territory that has given the Labor party the flick.
Yes I know that the NSW Liberals have supported this smokescreen.
The Liberals in Qld are under huge pressure from the Nats and are terrified of the rise of One Nation, so have held back for now. We are just very lucky that we gave Miles the flick or we'd be gone too.
It's not just deliberately blaming inanimate objects and their users that these completely incompetent creatures, this is just the icing on the cake.
The extent of the suffering of people in this country is unbelievable.
We must rethink our future in all areas going forward.

Well I will never vote for the Liberal party again. They should have supported the National party last night and put up a good fight. But just like in 1996 they s**t on us, and they should not have supported labour last night.
What happened to decades of alliance with the National party and claims that they cared about people in the country and regional areas.

I have a new poster on the wall of my gun room…

The only way this could have been avoided was to have taken a different political path previously.
The most shameful thing to me is that people were warned many times, and used all the excuses under the sun to stay with the "Duopoly".
This is solely due to the same old story, rusted on voters to political parties that even though punching the voters in the face, everyone mistakenly said, "they're all the same, doesn't matter"
Wrong, as you all see now.

There are still some here that will remain Labor voters, because way back when it was politically convenient to get votes, public land was permitted to be hunted on. But that loyalty was bought and used to punch them in the face. And they still stick up for them.

Not caught with our pants down, complicit in our naivety.

Scariest part of the new law is rejecting people who have merely been investigated. Being convicted of or currently fighting a court case for a charge I can understand but BEING INVESTIGATED? That is proper tyranny! All police have to do is just investigate you for terrorism then no more guns ever.

I also,,,, wish that a lot of people on here (and elswhere) would wake the f*** up and smell reality.
The people who are saying stuff like,, "I've voted for (whatever party) for years because blah blah",,,,,,,,

Well sunshine, political parties change, and they certainly aint what they used to be.

So, WAKE up and look reality in the face.
FORGET who or what you used to vote for, and start voting for what really matters nowadays,,,, not some ideology from the past.

Those "good old days" are gone.

How many times do you want to find yourself bent over and shafted from all sides ?
I do not fear death itself... Only its inopportune timing!
And,,,,It's been proven,,,,, the most trustworthy females in my entire life were all canines.
