"The Masters Apprentices" knew it,,

Post by Die Judicii » 01 Jan 2026, 3:20 pm

Everywhere, see despair
People, what's the future of our nation
Look around, we're going down
What happened to our jubilation,
If we're strong we won't fall
See the light one and all
There is no time for hesitation
What is the future of our nation

Every day in every way
Politicians give solutions
But in my mind, I know in time
We'll be the future institutions
Just wait for the hour
There'll be a new power
There is no time for hesitation What is the future of our nation
All the while, try to smile
We pretend it cannot affect us
Hope today, you better pray today
Some-one, will come to protect us

Just wait for the hour
There'll be a new power
There is not time for hesitation
What is the future of our nation ?
I do not fear death itself... Only its inopportune timing!
And,,,,It's been proven,,,,, the most trustworthy females in my entire life were all canines.

And the tune runs through my head as I read. But the words are surely apt.

Pink Floyd, "Wish you were here"

And disciplinary remains mercifully
Yes, and I'm with you, Derek, this star nonsense (yes, yes)
Now, which is it?
I am not sure of it

So, so you think you can tell
Heaven from Hell, blue skies from pain
Can you tell a green field from a cold steel rail?
A smile from a veil? Do you think you can tell?

Did they get you to trade your heroes for ghosts?
Hot ashes for trees, hot air for a cool breeze?
Cold comfort for change? Did you exchange
A walk-on part in the war for a lead role in a cage?

How I wish, how I wish you were here
We're just two lost souls swimming in a fishbowl, year after year
Running over the same old ground, what have we found?
The same old fears, wish you were here

Some of the members here could take note of the chorus:

Did they get you to trade your heroes for ghosts?
Hot ashes for trees, hot air for a cool breeze?
Cold comfort for change? Did you exchange
A walk-on part in the war for a lead role in a cage

These guys were f**king brilliant. The hidden messages in this album sum up the crucifying of the masses, way before their time.
Pink Floyd: Another Brick in the Wall Part 2 Lyrics

We don't need no education
We dont need no thought control
No dark sarcasm in the classroom
Teachers leave them kids alone
Hey! Teachers! Leave them kids alone!
All in all it's just another brick in the wall.
All in all you're just another brick in the wall.

We don't need no education
We dont need no thought control
No dark sarcasm in the classroom
Teachers leave them kids alone
Hey! Teachers! Leave them kids alone!
All in all it's just another brick in the wall.
All in all you're just another brick in the wall.

"Wrong, Do it again!"
"If you don't eat yer meat, you can't have any pudding. How can you
have any pudding if you don't eat yer meat?"
"You! Yes, you behind the bikesheds, stand still laddy!"

Aussie crawl

“Throw down your guns don’t be so reckless”

That should be the government theme song of these new guns laws.

Seeing as we all have our guns on the streets.

i've been a real muso for a lot of years and have a extensive vynal collection and a high quality stereo system . pink floyd , yeah "animals" is good to zone out to and "relics" has some great tunes, but some odd ones. well it was from 1969 ;) . here's some "call to arms" song lyrics by rose tattoo , some of the wording might be viewed as controversial by anyone monitoring this forum , but it's just freely available music. i think AJ in particular would like the lyrics :D "magnum maid" is a bit more of a rebel song , but i won't post the lyrics on here . i'll leave that up to yourselves to check out . cheers

Freedom's Flame
Song by

Rose Tattoo

There is a time a'coming
The tribes and clans will rise
They'll have thunder in their hearts
They'll have lightning in their eyes
The pipe and the drum will be calling
Calling once again
Stand beside your brothers
All ye, that are men

Let freedom's flame burn so bright
That all, all the world will see
Let freedom's flame burn so bright
That it shines, shines down on you and me

They'll be sending out the soldiers
To stamp the fires out
Then we must burn more brightly
We'll lift our voices and shout
It'll be a time for axe 'n' sword
And battle flags will wave
There'll be a haunting sound in the hills
Calling out the brave

Let freedom's flame burn so bright
That all, all the world will see
Let freedom's flame burn so bright
That it shines, shines down on you and me
Let it shine

Oh but the women will weep
And the children will fret
'Cause they know the price will be dear
But they understand that it's better to die free
Than live a life of fear

Let freedom's flame burn so bright
That all, all the world will see
Let freedom's flame burn so bright
That it shines, shines down on you and me
